 The First CDO Capoeira group of the Jersey Shore was established in 2008 by Instructor Costela under the supervision of Mestre Chicote, Paris. The world renowned group Cordao de Ouro was a brainchild of the famous Mestre Suassuna and Mestre Brasilia. The unique style of CDO spans the globe and most recently in New York, Philadelphia, and in Belmar NJ.

What is Capoeira?
.jpg) - Capoeira(ka-pu-wear-ah) is an Afro Brazilian Martial Art created by African Slaves in the colonial era of Brazil in the 1500's. It prides itself on being a true mixed martial art: involving music, elements of dance, energetic acrobatics, history, language and social awareness.
